Job Summary

We are actively seeking observant, friendly, and tech-comfortable individuals to join our Front Store team. As a Self-Checkout Attendant, you will be trained to monitor multiple registers simultaneously, troubleshooting errors and assisting guests with scanning their wellness items. You will serve as an active host, delivering the signature convenience that sets CVS apart in the pharmacy retail industry. This is a highly active role perfect for those who love multitasking and moving around rather than standing behind a single register.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

• Active Hosting: Greet customers as they enter the front of the store, directing them to open self-checkout registers and managing the queue during peak rushes.
• Transaction Assistance: Step in proactively to help customers scan ExtraCare cards, apply digital coupons, and look up items that lack barcodes.
• Intervention & Troubleshooting: Respond rapidly to machine alerts, clear paper jams, and execute ID verifications for age-restricted items (like cough medicine).
• Asset Protection Support: Maintain a vigilant presence, ensuring all items in a customer's basket are properly scanned before they bag them and exit the store.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age upon application (due to age-restricted item verification responsibilities).
• No prior retail or cashier experience required—we provide extensive POS systems training.
• Must possess an incredibly friendly, outgoing personality and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Ability to walk and stand continuously within the checkout zone for the duration of the shift.
